Test Prep · Al Salmiya Driving School
Before you can sit the Kuwait Traffic Department driving test, you'll need your paperwork in order. Here's the checklist we walk every student through.
Standard Documents Checklist
- Valid Civil ID (original and copy)
- Valid passport with residency page (original and copy)
- Passport-size photographs (as specified by the MOI)
- Medical fitness / eye test certificate, where required
- No-objection certificate (NOC), if applicable to your residency category
- Completed application form from the Traffic Department
- Proof of completed practical training hours with a certified instructor
If You Already Hold a Foreign License
Some nationalities are eligible to convert an existing foreign driving license instead of starting from scratch. Requirements vary by country and license type, so it's worth confirming your eligibility with your instructor or the Traffic Department directly before enrolling in full training.
Tips to Avoid Delays
- Double-check your Civil ID and passport haven't expired before booking your test date
- Keep both originals and photocopies of every document on hand
- Confirm your document requirements with your instructor a week before your scheduled test
